Red Valley is a United Methodist Church on the Danville District in the Virginia Annual Conference. We are dedicated to serving Christ and ministering to all of God’s children. We uphold our vision as we believe we are a place “Where ALL are Welcome, Christ Lives and lives are Changed.” Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by being a community of faith Called by God: to Learn, to Befriend, and to Send Forth!
To understand our mission more fully, I hope you check out below the four sermons that really open up more fully what this mission strategy means to our member at Red Valley UMC. Though in brief, it is our hope that through worship you have felt called to follow Jesus Christ. And to learn more about how to follow Jesus, we hope from our worship you get plugged into a study group. We have a few study groups available at this time. When you are ready to deepen your faith beyond study, we hope that you will either join or be interested in creating an accountability group that we call our Befriend Groups. In our Befriend Group Ministry, you are asked to do five things: Continue to Study together, Pray together, Fellowship together, Accountable together, and finally be in Mission together. Which leads us to our last point of our mission strategy. We are making disciples of Jesus Christ and hope that you yourself have found something worthy of sharing with others.
Our calendar of events is located here on this blog under calendar. We are a very active church in loving God and loving our neighbors.
